East Interlake Conservation District

The East Interlake Watershed District (EIWD) is a grassroots organization focused on the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment within the Interlake region of Manitoba. Through strong partnerships with local governments and the province, EIWD delivers funding and support for projects aimed at improving water and soil quality, including tree plantings, native grass restoration, and regenerative agriculture practices.

With a commitment to sustainable solutions, EIWD has developed four Integrated Watershed Management Plans that outline necessary actions for maintaining healthy watersheds. The district encompasses four subwatersheds of the Lake Winnipeg watershed, facilitating localized decision-making to effectively manage land and water resources.
