The Collective of Black Artists (COBA), founded in February 1993 by a group of passionate dancers of African descent, aims to fill a significant void in Toronto's arts scene by creating a platform for dance creations that reflect the physical and social realities of the African diaspora worldwide. With over 25 years of dedication, COBA preserves and presents Africanist-inspired art, providing a vital cultural resource for the community.

In addition to showcasing artistic works, COBA offers programs such as the New CPI Performance Excellence Program, designed to engage and nurture young talent in dance.
