Art Mûr is a highly respected and dynamic gallery in Montreal and has become a required stop for curators, critics, and collectors. Founded in 1996 and located at its current location since 2002, Art Mûr is a commercial contemporary art gallery. With its seven exhibition rooms totaling 14,000 square feet (1300m²), Art Mûr has become a key player in the Canadian visual arts scene. Art Mûr represents around thirty artists, most of whom are represented in museum collections, and is proud to be the only commercial contemporary art gallery in Quebec to have as many Quebec artists as artists from the rest of Canada, as well as as as many male and female artists. Their artistic practice encompasses a variety of mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, new media and performance.
