In 1899 the first ship with Japanese immigrants arrived at the port of Callao, which begins a cultural fusion that would forever change Peruvian cuisine. This cultural mixture is currently known as Nikkei cuisine. Nikkei cuisine leaves an indelible mark on Peruvian culture and a legacy of flavors, smells and textures. Today, this tradition in Barcelona has a name, Nikkei 103, a restaurant of Peruvian-Japanese cuisine under the baton of chef and sushiman Gustavo Sugay.
