Eglise Saint Girons de Monein
Monein has the largest gothic church in Béarn, the church of Saint-Girons. The height of its clock town is impressive and its isometric double shelled upturned boat timber roof is unique. It has other peculiarities: just like its roof, it is asymmetrical with a principal nave and one single side chapel; it has no transept. It took three generations of builders to complete between 1464 and 1530. In 2023, guided tours : - Du 3 janvier au 10 avril : Les mercredis et samedis à 16h. Sauf jours fériés. - Du 8 juillet au 3 septembre : Tous les jours à 11h, 15h et 17h. Les dimanches et jours fériés à 15h et 17h. - Du 16 octobre au 31 décembre : Les mercredis et samedis à 16h. Sauf jours fériés.
