Embracing the rich cultural diversity of our staff and residents, Sherwood Forest is set in the multi-faith area of Normanton in Derbyshire. Providing residential, dementia care, nursing care and palliative care for older people, our team can continue to care for your loved one should their needs change over time, providing a home for life. We also provide flexible short stay respite breaks and longer term respite care, if you are looking after an elderly loved one at home and need a carer's break. Manager Jo and deputy manager Wendy have over 40 years' nursing experience between them and support residents with a variety of complex needs.

We're proud to launch A Lifetime of Flavours, a heartfelt celebration of food, family, and the incredible lives behind the dishes. This beautifully curated cookbook features over 40 cherished recipes from Sanctuary Care residents across the UK. This isn't just a recipe collection, it's a part of how we bring to life our Enriching Lives Framework, which is based on research into what truly matters as we age. At the heart of this book is one of our 'Six Senses'; the Sense of Continuity. We believe in empowering those in our care to sustain their passions, identities and routines - such as cooking!
