Beaminster Museum is a fascinating voluntary museum of life in West Dorset, from Jurassic fossils through pre history to the recent past. For Summer 2024 there is a fascinating exhibition A Stitch in Time - all the many ways that stitching things has been part of our history - cobblers to couture, saddlers, seamstresses and samplers! And social history in a rusty boot that Thomas Hardy would have recognised!
