Cromer Windmill

Cromer Windmill, located in Hertfordshire, is the only surviving windmill in the area and is a Grade II listed building, dating back to 1681. Set on an artificial mound just outside Cromer, the mill has a rich history, having undergone several restoration phases since falling into disrepair in the 1920s.

This historic site offers visitors a glimpse into local history with guided tours that demonstrate how the windmill's machinery operates. Although grinding is not currently possible, the sails can turn with the wind, bringing the mill to life during open days in the summer months.
