The village of Eye, located a few miles from Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, England, has a population of approximately 5,000 residents. Once an island in the Fens, its name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word 'eg,' meaning island, and is steeped in history with St. Matthew's Church built in 1846 on the site of an earlier church.
