Thought to have been the UK's original surfing beach with the waves being ridden by the lifeguards of the early 1960's, who introduced surfing to Newquay. This beach produced many of the UK's earliest, and current, national and international surfing champions. The home of 'The Slope Beach Bar + Kitchen' and 'Newquay Surfing School'. Well behaved dogs & responsible dog owners are welcome. This beach is life-guarded during the summer season.
