Helmsley Garden Cottage: A unique Bed & Breakfast experience which combines first-class hospitality service, bespoke Aga-Cooked Yorkshire breakfasts and Evening Meals and your own special Home-From-Home cottage. Large King-Size Bedroom (with TV), Living Room (with TV), Dining Room & Shower-Room. Private off-road parking and use of garden. There is a library of over 500 CD's, DVD's & Books, hard-wired computer and DAB radio. Our guests enjoy a high quality environment, first-class facilities and a personal service from the owners. Breakfast is inclusive and bespoke - Order from Full Yorkshire, including highest quality locally sourced bacon, sausages, black pudding & eggs. Locally baked Artisan breads and Home-Made cakes and biscuits are all part of what you will enjoy. We offer a quality vegetarian range and packed lunches and evening meals are available upon request at additional cost. The cottage is best suited to singles or couples, but as there is plenty of space, we can accommodate infants and children. A cot and one high quality 4 foot folding bed (in lounge) is available at a modest charge. Breakfasts for your children under 16 is free. A small, well-behaved dog is welcome too ! (Please check beforehand) The cottage enjoys its' own private entrance via its' own parking place at the rear of the property. Access from the Entrance Gate involves 4 small steps into a stone walkway leading to the private Entrance Door of the Garden Cottage. The cottage itself is on two floors - The ground floor consists of Dining/Sitting Room (leading from the Entrance Door), Lounge and Bathroom. The Bedroom is accessed from the Dining/Sitting Room via stairs. Helmsley Railway Cottage.....A Unique Self-Catering Experience ! Our 1870-Built, 3rd Class Victorian Railway Carriage converted to 5* luxurious standards. All the facilities of a self-catering property with a big twist and we cook your bespoke breakfast within the rate. Memory-Foam luxury double bed, plus 2 single high quality bunk beds in a separate bedroom - Suitable for families or two couples. Our 3rd-Class GNR Carriage operated locally around the turn of the 20th Century and ended up in our Garden in the 1920's ! The timing of its final resting place pre-dates the buildings to the rear - There were just fields behind us then - and over the years it has been a general store and various businesses including a painting & decorating workshop, wholesale greetings card warehouse, office for a national business and now, in its final incarnation - A 5* Self-Catering centrally-heated Holiday Home ! Designed & Refurbished by local craftsmen to the highest standards, the unique Helmsley Railway Carriage offers luxury accommodation and facilities for up to 4 people. The main living area includes a luxurious Memory-Foam Double-Bed, which "hides away" during the day, comfortable lounge chairs, dining table with up to 4 chairs and a concealed "pop-up" HD TV/DVD within the dividing kitchen cabinet and Wi-Fi. The joinery-made kitchen includes electric hob, combination Microwave/Grill, Fridge/Freezer and all cooking & crockery facilities for 4 people. If you wish, we provide bespoke breakfast's & suppers on request and there is free use of our Kitchen Aga for anything special. We include a "Welcome Pack" of basic provisions, Tea & Coffee facilities and the local Co-Op, 50 yards away, is open until 10.00Pm 7-Nights a week. The full-size wet-room style Bathroom includes overhead & hand shower heads, full-size basin & under-sink storage, toilet, lighted mirror with shaving point and includes all towels, shampoos, soaps & toiletries. The railway-carriage style corridor leads to the private Bunk-Room, comprising 2 single beds with luxurious Memory-Foam mattresses, clothes hanging feature and additional storage.
