Over 250,000 visit the Manchester International Festival biennially to enjoy the range of cultural offerings the event showcases. Past artists have included Gorillaz, Rufus Wainwright, Kraftwerk and Lou Reed. The Factory, built on the site of the old Granada Studios, is the main location for the festival, which aims to promote Manchester as a cultural hub for international visitors.
