With a rich history dating back to around 1760, it featured unique architectural elements such as an intact bakers oven and a larder room designed for game storage, reflecting its storied past.

Over the years, the pub became a social hub, particularly among local motorcyclists, and was known for events such as Sunday summer BBQs. However, following its closure in 2014 and multiple sales, the New Inn is currently being transformed into apartments, marking the end of an era for this cherished establishment.
