St Peter's & St Paul's Church

The medieval church of St Peter and St Paul sits at the heart of the North Yorkshire market town of Pickering. The church is best known for its collection of 15th century wall paintings - regarded as one of the most complete sets of medieval wall paintings in England - and the fascinating story of their rediscovery in the 19th century. The church is home to a large and active congregation which continues to meet here on Sundays and Wednesdays for the worship of God. The church is open for private prayer and quiet viewing each day from 9am until 5pm in the summer, and until 4pm in the winter.
