Tadley is a parish located in the northwest of Hampshire, adjacent to the Berkshire border and approximately 50 miles from London. The town, with a population of around 11,700, has retained some of its rural character despite significant growth during the 1950s and 60s, largely due to the establishment of the Atomic Weapons Establishment in nearby Aldermaston.
