Overlooking the Blackdown Hills, The 17th Century Hotel is reputed to have been built in 1644.Previously known as “The Poachers Pocket”, it is located on the A38 on the Devon/Somerset border, approximately 5 miles South-West of Wellington. It is within easy reach of the M5 junctions 26 and 27, the A361 North Devon link road, and Tiverton Parkway Railway Station. We have 8 beautiful bedrooms including single, twin, double and family rooms. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi access,TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private bathroom. Our cosy hotel is the perfect base tourists wishing to explore Devon and Somerset. Knighthayes Court, Wellington Monument, Cothay Manor, Diggerland and Tiverton Castle are close by, with Exmoor, Dartmoor, Exeter, Taunton and the north & south coasts of Devonall within an hour's drive. There isn't a restaurant on-site but there are restaurants within a few minutes drive offering a range of different cuisines.
