Berliner founders, James and James, moved to Beeston in 2016 from Nottingham City centre to open a coffee shop. Missing the fun of city centre bars and spotting Beeston’s potential for a great night out, The James duo introduced midweek coffee shop cocktail nights and masterclasses — the success of these sold-out evenings highlighted to the boys that Beeston had potential for more and they set to work finding a full-time venue, from there The Berliner was born. Taking inspiration from Nottingham’s independent bar scene and the unapologetic and uber cool spirit of Berlin, The Berliner exists to give every guest a guaranteed good night out and firmly place Beeston on the map. We offer a full weekly events calendar of fun, surprising, innovative and relevant live entertainment, which is usually free. Our team are expert crafts-people, who love cocktails and people in equal measure!
