The Hooden Bar & Grill

We are a traditional English pub, with log burners and beams but with a modern twist. We are a family run business that have kept true to our beliefs, that we are a pub first but we serve great good food at a reasonable price, in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are not a restaurant, or a "gastro pub". We stock a good selection of real ales , draught lagers and ciders, including the locally brewed Curious Brew. All our wines and sparkling wines are served by the glass so you can enjoy the better quality wines without the need to buy the whole bottle. We decided after our devastating fire in November 2016 to change the style of food that we were going to serve, the Smokehouse was born. To get it right we brought in a BBQ chef that won an award in America, the home of the smokehouse, with her expertise and the experience and skills of our quality chefs, we now produce the best smoked food around.
