The Medieval Gallery, located in a former medieval inn near the gates of Dunster Castle, is the only gallery in Britain dedicated to fine art inspired by the Middle Ages. It showcases works from established contemporary artists and craftspeople, featuring a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, stained glass, and jewellery.
From 29th March 2024, the gallery will host an exhibition titled "The Stairway to Visionary and Spiritual Art," curated by Jennifer Price and Stephen Beer. This exhibition aims to create a serene space that reflects both ancient spirituality and modern visionary art, inviting visitors to pause and appreciate moments of tranquillity amidst the chaos of everyday life.
