Mirfield, England WF14 0BN
Mirfield Monastery is a beautiful former Mill Owner’s House originally built in the 19th Century set in twenty acres of quiet gardens and woodlands. It is now the home of the Community of the Resurrection, an Anglican monastic order. Our bed and breakfast facility is located in the annexe building a short distance from the monastery. Those staying in the bed and breakfast annexe are welcome to enjoy the grounds and join the monks for worship in the church. Ideally located just off the M62 near Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax, in the heart of the Pennines - the enviable location of Mirfield Monastery offers excellent access and great countryside. Please note that we are unable to accept guests for check in between 17.30 and 18.45 as as the brethren are in worship. Latest check in time is 21.00 Mirfield Monastery welcomes visitors using the monastery as either a retreat house or a conference centre. It is open for groups or individuals and has a full programme of activities throughout the year. The ideal venue for just about every event of any shape or size, Mirfield Monastery can host conferences, workshops, retreats, church groups, weddings and receptions all on site. RETREAT HOUSE GUESTS: if you are wanting to book a place in the retreat house alongside the community please email or call us. The bed and breakfast is NOT the booking site for guests wanting to book into the retreat house. The Bed and Breakfast is on a split level site with beautiful grounds. We aim to meet the needs of all our guests but would like to highlight that there are some features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility: There are steps into the Bed and Breakfast; the bedrooms are all on the first and second floors and unfortunately no lift is available.
