Bath, England BA1 1LZ
A visit to the city of Bath would not be complete without afternoon tea at The Pump Room, an iconic building that inspired the likes of Jane Austin and Mary Shelley. Built-in the 1790s with its Corinthian columns, glittering chandeliers, and a spa fountain, it soon became the destination for high society to meet and 'take the waters from the hot springs. Today over 200 years later, Searcys has a delicious interpretation of afternoon tea set against the grand neo-classical background of The Pump Room. On the menu are Beetroot cured smoked salmon blini with creme fraiche, and savouries including a dainty Castlemead chicken and tarragon pie. Sweet selections include Homemade buttermilk scones, and a selection of pastries, all enjoyed with a glass of Searcys selected Cuvée Champagne.
