Independently owned and loved by the locals, The Roebuck offers a broad selection of beers and ales from around the world, a freshly prepared menu full of locally sourced produce, an easy going atmosphere and a friendly welcome as standard.Tucked away at the leafier end of Great Dover Street, The Roebuck balances being a little bit off the beaten track with being incredibly easy to get to: Borough tube is less than a five minutes stroll away, whilst a ten minute quickstep brings you from either Elephant & Castle or London Bridge.Built to imposing Victorian proportions, the large, airy pub boasts an incredible upstairs lounge, packed with period fixtures and an indeterminate charm. The Roebuck holds a pub quiz every Tuesday, LDN Gaymers the 2nd Thursday and Southwark Vinyl the 3rd Thursday. We serve food everyday.As the saying goes, 'whatever grows together, goes together'. Over the years the Roebuck have built meaningful & productive relationships with our suppliers to create a seasonally changing menu which is both sourced locally and concentrates on sustainability. The majority of our meat is supplied by Gill Wing, an organic free range farm in Eridge, Sussex, less than an hour away from Borough.
