The Sun

Chicken & Grill No. 7, this classic local has been with McMullen since 1886. Rebuilt after a stable fire in 1977, the Sun joined the Chicken & Grill pub family in 2013. Spacious, yet cosy. Chickens roasting away greet you as you enter, from there you’re taken care of in the dining room, or hosted in the private dining / function area. Our fayre includes freshly spit-roasted chicken, fabulous ice cream sundaes, locally brewed beers, cocktails and our favourite wines – all to be enjoyed by our cosy log burners or alfresco when it’s sunny! Our event space is ideal for groups, meetings, or privacy. It’s available from early until late so if you’re interested in booking us for your event, get in touch!
