The Travellers' Club

The Travellers' Club, founded in 1819 by Lord Castlereagh and his peers, has served as a distinguished meeting place for gentlemen who have traveled abroad. In 1832, the club moved to its current purpose-built clubhouse designed by Charles Barry, fostering a space for entertaining foreign visitors and diplomats stationed in London.
