Dating back to the 1700’s and known as The Wheatsheaf since 1861, this beautiful old Coaching Inn sits in the heart of the small market town of Whitchurch in Shropshire. The Wheatsheaf is a friendly place where you can walk through the door and feel a warm welcome. A ‘Proper Pub’ with real cask ales, quality keg beers, a great range of bottled beers and a terrific selection of wines and spirits. Whether you are popping in for a quick pint or spending a few hours with us you can enter this historic corner of the world knowing there’s good company, tasty food and delicious drinks. Stepping inside means you can share in a little bit of history making it a comfortable, relaxing place for a drink with friends, a celebration or a family meal. Our two highly talented chefs, Ben and Jake, have prepared an excellent menu, which they change regularly so that there is always something different to try. To compliment your meal we have a great selection of wines to choose from. Our B&B rooms have been recently completely refurbished to a stunning high quality and are meticulously cleaned and maintained. All rooms feature solid oak furniture, power sockets, USB charging points, Samsung televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and good quality hair dryers. All in all a great B&B in a great old coaching inn.
