East Leeds Project
The East Leeds Project is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company located in Gipton, East Leeds, dedicated to fostering positive change through art as social action. With a focus on the Wyke Beck Valley area, the initiative engages with artists and local communities to address issues such as climate change, public space, and urban development.
Currently based at the Henry Barran Community Centre, the project features an array of initiatives, including the Moon Palace, an artistic mobile observatory designed to facilitate conversations about the environment and our universe. Through its various workshops and events, the East Leeds Project aims to connect creativity, community engagement, and empowerment, enhancing the cultural landscape of East Leeds.
