The Walpole Cinema, originally opened on December 23, 1908, as Walpole Hall Roller Skating Rink, was located in Ealing, London. It transitioned to the Walpole Picture Theatre in 1912, featuring a charming facade and a seating capacity of 1,600, and became an important venue in the Odeon Theatres chain from 1936 until its closure in 1972.
After operating as a carpet store and rehearsal studio, the building was demolished in 1981, paving the way for Walpole House and eventually the residential Filmworks development. In a nod to its history, the original tiled frontage of the Walpole Cinema was salvaged and re-erected nearby, serving as a reminder of the cinema's architectural legacy.
