West Huntspill Railway

The West Huntspill Model Engineering Society, located at the Memorial Playing Fields, is a vibrant community dedicated to the hobby of model engineering, with over 70 members who enjoy building and operating steam and electric locomotives, traction engines, and other models. The society celebrates its history, which began in the early sixties, and continues to welcome new members, offering a friendly environment filled with support and social activities.

Since its establishment, the society has developed a raised 5 and 3 gauge track, complemented by a new clubhouse completed in 2018, and is currently working on a ground level track for larger locomotives. The society also engages the public with train rides every Sunday from June to October, fostering a love for model engineering across all ages.
