Cromarty View
Invergordon, Highland Council IV18 0JX
Located in the picturesque rural port of Invergordon in Easter Ross, Kintyre House Care Home has panoramic views across Cromarty Firth. The team provides residential care and dementia care, as well as respite care offering shorter stays for caregiver breaks or convalescence after hospital discharge. The residential care scheme has a large conservatory overlooking Invergordon's Cromarty Firth, where cruise ships often dock. The bedrooms, the majority of which have en-suite showers, are spacious and some of the ground floor rooms have doors leading to a courtyard garden. The care home also has a mobile shop that sells toiletries, sweets and everyday items. We can move the shop freely around the service, which is especially beneficial for our frailer residents. Many of our residents love the Kintyre Cocktail Bar, which is perfect for an evening tipple!
We're proud to launch A Lifetime of Flavours, a heartfelt celebration of food, family, and the incredible lives behind the dishes. This beautifully curated cookbook features over 40 cherished recipes from Sanctuary Care residents across the UK. This isn't just a recipe collection, it's a part of how we bring to life our Enriching Lives Framework, which is based on research into what truly matters as we age. At the heart of this book is one of our 'Six Senses'; the Sense of Continuity. We believe in empowering those in our care to sustain their passions, identities and routines - such as cooking! From traditional pasties and spicy curries to comforting cakes and festive favourites, each dish tells a story, a memory passed down through generations. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Whether it's Iona's Clootie Dumplings, Delita's Jamaican Goat Curry, or Malcolm's Cornish Splits, every page is filled with love, legacy, and the joy of sharing. ๐Ÿงก Why this book matters: - It celebrates the Sense of Continuity for our wonderful residents - It honours the culinary traditions of our residents - It preserves family recipes for future generations - It celebrates the power of food to connect, comfort and inspire Proceeds raised via our initial limited print run will go towards supporting Mental Health UK๐Ÿ’™
