Scots / Italian Fusion on Menu at Hotel Eaterie For a delicious meal in luxurious surroundings, why not try the new Amarone Thistle restaurant at the four-star Mansfield House Hotel. Opening on December 1st, you can enjoy "Italian food with a Scottish twist" prepared by brothers Fabrizio and Franco Portella. The Rome-trained duo have a wealth of experience producing first class food, and have worked together now for some 25 years. Fabrizio will work as head chef, while his brother Franco will work front of house. The restaurant opens for evening meals from Tuesday to Saturday at 5.30pm, with last orders taken at 9pm. "It will be mainly Italian menu, but with a Scottish twist." "Fabrizio and Franco are well known chefs in the town." "We try to use fresh, locally-sourced produce for our menus." The restaurant will serve as a breakfast and dining room throughout the day, transforming to the Amarone Thistle in the evenings. Guests can also eat in the Pheasant Bar. This is another exciting innovation for the hotel, which was recently awarded four-star status. "It has been a three-star hotel for many years, but has just gained four-stars," The Thistle Lounge has been tastefully refurbished, offering a comfortable area for guests, and can be booked for small private functions, while the main hall caters for up to 220 people.
