Opened in 1862, this cemetery today contains 219 Commonwealth War Graves, 93 from the First World War and 116 from the Second. During the First World War the Newfoundland Regiment established their depot in Ayr, and today you will find headstones which bear the Caribou headstone badge of the Newfoundland Regiment in this cemetery.
