Watergaw Ceramics, located in the former Methodist Church in Whitehills, is the creative space of designer and maker Fiona Duckett, who specialises in crafting iridescent ceramics using a unique glaze known as In Glaze Reduction Lustre. The pottery shop offers a range of textured and faceted bowls inspired by natural elements, particularly the beauty of frozen water and scenic views from Fiona's kitchen window.
Since establishing Watergaw Ceramics in 2000, Fiona has dedicated herself to the art of lustre glazing, a method rich in history and complexity that involves chasing the colours of the rainbow. The studio's collection includes both single and multi-lustre pieces, as well as jewellery, showcasing a journey of continuous exploration in ceramic artistry over the past two decades.
