New Lanark is also a perfect stop over for those cycling Lands End to John O' Groats and the village marks the end of the popular Clyde Walkway which runs from Glasgow city centre to the heart of New Lanark. A must see are the Famous Falls of Clyde with its multitude of waterfalls surrounded by natural woodland. Take a walk up the board walk to the falls and you're sure to spot an abundance of wildlife including badgers, squirrels and peregrine falcons.
