A seventy acre Heritage Park and Museum. The Park contains woodland, scheduled ancient monuments and five reservoirs. Once home to industry, noise and pollution, it is now a haven for wildlife. The museum was developed around Abbey Farm, a working farm until 1979 and is also home to buildings rescued from elsewhere include historic farmhouses and a Victorian school house. There are plenty of areas to play in including an adventure tree house, explore our tunnel maze and make a splash with our water games. Toddlers can have fun in our soft play tractor heaven barn and children of all ages can try to find their way out of our Mega Tower maze! The majority of the collections span between 1850 and 1950 covering a variety of themes including agriculture, social history and the industrial history of the local area. • Farming objects and machinery • Spring Garden School • Victorian Farm House • Tudor Farm House and Gardens • Local People in Industry • Textile and Paper Mill display
