The Colossal Head of Jupiter, sculpted by John Osborn in 1831, stands as a remarkable achievement in the Royal Victoria Park in Bath, Somerset. Weighing 6 tons and crafted from Bath stone, this striking bust captures the sublime expression and grandeur of the mythological god of sky and thunder.

The statue was made possible through public subscription, which aimed to support Osborn's widow and family after his untimely death in 1838. A new plinth designed by James Wilson was added in 1861, further enhancing this iconic representation of classical art in the park.
