The Old Workhouse

A friendly B&B in the centre of Bala and within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The Old Workhouse - one of the town's most historic buildings with a Grade 11* listing - is an ideal stopover point from which to enjoy the fantastic countryside and activities available - mountains, walking, sailing, zip wires…the list is endless. The workhouse has two spacious letting bedrooms, on the top floor of the building, with panoramic views over the rooftops to the surrounding hillsides. Ian and Georgina offer a full Welsh breakfast using wherever possible locally sourced ingredients, with home made bread, jams and marmalade. There are pubs, bars and restaurants a short stroll from the Old Workhouse, and Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) is a five-minute walk away.
