Ty'n Llan

Community-owned pub and restaurant in the centre of the village of Llandwrog, near Caernarfon. The former Harp Inn closed in 2017 and in 2021 was acquired by the local community following the creation of a Community Benefit Society and a successful appeal for investment in community shares. Menter Ty'n Llan Cyf, (the Society) has over 1,000 members and the pub is now known by its original Welsh name ('the dwelling in the village'). In December 2021 the pub re-opened for drinks, pool and darts and in June 2022 started serving food again. The pub is also the location for a wide range of community activities to which all are welcome. Major renovations are planned to secure the Grade 2 Listed building for the long term and to provide an extension which will be used to expand all the activities and services. Accommodation will be provided eventually in five first-floor rooms. Within easy reach of the beach at Dinas Dinlle, Snowdonia National Park and the Wales Slate Heritage sites.
