Brahan Spring Recreation Center

The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department organizes various recreational and leisure activities. The department operates a historic site museum, softball complex, tennis and community centers, and outdoor and indoor swimming pools. It also includes more than 20 parks comprised of over 500 acres of land. In addition, the department operates and maintains the Decatur City Cemetery. The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department s facilities include playgrounds, tennis courts and baseball fields. Located in Decatur, Ala., the department conducts lifeguard, basketball, fitness and swimming classes. It is associated with the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association, National Recreation and Parks Association, and American Parks and Recreation Society.
