Established in 1958, the Lifelines/Family Counseling Center of Mobile is a private, nonprofit organization. Located in Mobile, Ala., the organization is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children and is approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide comprehensive housing counseling. It is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and is affiliated with the United Way, the American Association of Suicidology and the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems. The Lifelines/Family Counseling Center of Mobile offers assisstance to adolescents, children and adults with issues related to marital and family difficulties, school and employment adjustment, low self-esteem, childhood disorders, and feelings of frustration, anger and aggression.

Insight Treatment Program Inc. is a private non-profit agency founded in 1993, dedicated to providing court referral jail diversion programs across several counties in Alabama, including Mobile, Clarke, and Washington. Governed by a Board of Directors that includes business leaders, law enforcement, and government specialists, ITP employs a skilled team of professionals committed to understanding human behavior and the criminal justice system. Over the years, ITP has expanded its range of services, now offering nine professional programs that include Anger Management, Outpatient Substance Use Treatment, and Domestic Violence Interventions, serving ten counties in the state.
