HARK was founded in 2001 by a group of local residents to promote the interests of pets and wildlife in the community. We are a federally recognized, non-profit organization, funded primarily by private donations and memberships. The organization is governed by a nine member board of directors, and daily operations are overseen by our Executive Director and administrative assistant. Additional labor is provided by volunteers performing tasks that include animal care, cage cleaning, and providing office and clerical support.
