HistoryAmy has been a hair stylist on the western slope since 2000. She studied at the Academy of Beauty Culture in Grand Junction and began her career as a salon manager at Regis Hairstylists. After 4 years there she stepped out of the corporate salon world and into booth rental. She worked at several salons in the area, each providing her with different skills and knowledge that would help her throughout her career. In 2014 she opened Kismet Hair in downtown Grand Junction and in July of 2016 Amy decided close up Kismet and go back to booth rental. She found the perfect fit for her business at Glam Salon & Spa. It's here that she setup Lotus. Lotus flowers have always been inspirational to Amy, the perfect symbol of rebirth for her business. The lotus flower grows from the mud in depths of the pond. Growing and reaching toward the sunlight, eventually blossoming into a beautiful flower.
