Early Head Start services promote child/adult bonding and instruction to enhance brain development in infants and toddlers. NACOG's Human & Community Services Division is committed to the development of human and community services in areas ranging from supporting equal opportunities for persons with disabilities and delivering services to older individuals, to combating the conditions of poverty. This division also provides funds for a variety of community development projects. NACOG's Economic and Workforce Development Division helps build economic success through workforce development partnerships. Comprehensive economic development planning for workforce, business services and tourism development is a major focus, as well as public works and infrastructure development for sustainable economic growth. NACOG's Planning Division recognizes that studying area population and demographics is critical to planning a viable transportation system. NACOG provides these services to local governments, along with estimates and projections for population growth. The division also participates in regional transit planning activities, and coordinates with the Arizona Department of Transportation and local governments for transportation related funding.
