I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that takes into account the patient as a whole.

I strive to provide the highest quality of holistic patient-centered care that is delivered in a personal, safe, and caring environment.

I use my knowledge for medicine to risk stratify and optimize treatment for my patients who need high risk surgery for the diagnosis of cancer. I also provider my patients with adequate support in terms of nutrition, rehab and support to their family and facilitate their care so they can have the best possible outcome from the surgery. My primary focus is patients with blood abnormalities who come to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center not knowing what to expect. I feel gratified to be there for them at that point, and being able to explain the work up for further evaluation that is needed and to be able to reassure them. Stem cell transplant is a life changing experience and I see patients from three months after transplant providing them with the education and support that they need after the stem cell transplant. I believe another important part of my job is to make sure that all the internal medicine needs are met for these patients, and they have a smooth transition to the community care provider.
