I believe in active listening during each and every patient encounter to truly understand the specific needs of that individual and help come up with an appropriate plan together.

I believe that the ability to care for patients optimally, to do innovative research benefitting our future patients and to educate the next generation of caregivers is an honor and a gift.

In the broadest sense, I want to help each patient through a difficult time, with the goal of getting back to his or her life healthy and able to enjoy everything that was possible before. That means a focus on giving the highest-level care available anywhere, and also on managing the side-effects of treatment and the healing process in a very active way. That takes a lot of direct time with patients, but this is what I find the most rewarding.
