Schomac Group was organized under the laws of the state of Arizona in 1974 as a privately held real estate investment, development and management company headquartered in Tucson, Ariz. The group acts as a holding company, and is for its various subsidiaries, involved in diverse segments of the real estate industry. Schomac Group and its subsidiaries employ more than 500 personnel nationwide. The group is one of the largest real estate related employers and self-storage operators in southern Arizona. It has developed more than 4,000 apartment units in Tucson and Las Vegas, in addition to over 800,000-square-foot of retail, office and medical space. The group has also developed more than 4 million-square-foot of self-storage space in over 10 states in the United States through its subsidiary, National Self Storage. It has sponsored more than 100 syndicated and private limited partnerships, and has joint ventured properties with institutions and private individuals.

Our Business Cottonwood Properties was founded in 1976 with a purpose to invest in and develop quality real estate in the greater Tucson Area. In addition to numerous apartment, retail and housing developments Cottonwood Properties is the master developer of the 790 acre Westin La Paloma resort community in the central foothills of Tucson and developed the majority of the residential portion of the Rita Ranch community on 1, 000 acres in Southern Tucson. Today, Cottonwood Properties is developing the 6, 200 acre Dove Mountain community in Marana, Arizona. In addition to the many neighborhoods within Dove Mountain, Cottonwood is developing The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Residences and Golf Club - home to the Accenture Match Play World Golf Championships. Cottonwood Properties was founded by David Mehl and his late brother George Mehl. Today, Cottonwood Properties employs a team of talented individuals with a variety of backgrounds.
