United Martial Arts Center for Personal Development United Martial Arts was founded by Master Michael Leoni in 1995. It has grown to 6 West Valley locations including a 10, 000 sq. ft. UMA Headquarters Facility & Research Institute in Sun City West. Over that past decade, United Martial Arts has helped thousands of students and their families reach their martial arts goals, while improving their overall health and quality of life. Our student body is comprised of individuals from all walks of life and ranges in age from age 4 to age 87 currently. Our UMA HQ/Research Institute is also utilized to teach professional martial artists from all over the country in both physical forms and business strategy. United Martial Arts specializes in the teaching of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. Kung Fu is an ancient Chinese martial art and personal development system. Its roots date back thousands of years and its techniques have been proven in actual battle. Even though this may not be necessary today, Kung Fu has proven itself to be a modern day advantage in achieving success and becoming a leader in all areas of your life. United Martial Arts believes in a Positive Mind, Healthy Body concept to achieve the highest level of success in your Kung Fu training. This means that in addition to learning the martial arts and self-defense aspects of Kung Fu, you will also improve your confidence, self-respect, focus, awareness, flexibility, strength, coordination and fitness. We focus our basic martial arts curriculum on children and families, while providing a highly comprehensive training program for the serious martial artist.
