Founded in 1995, the Lake Family Resource Center, also known as Lake FRC, is a nonprofit community benefit organization that provides a variety of services. The agency offers family and community violence prevention, intervention and treatment, and health and wellness programs. It also provides parenting education, as well as child, youth and personal development programs. The Lake Family Resource Center focuses on physical and emotional health development issues of families. The agency operates a rape crisis center and a 24-hour community crisis line. Its behavioral health services include the treatment of depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and other forms of distress. The Lake Family Resource Center additionally offers domestic violence assistance and tobacco education and control programs.
