C. Edward Meserve started Meserve Engineering in 1977 as a sole proprietorship. Meserve Engineering provides structural design and analysis services for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential clients. Investigations and forensic activities, peer review and structural rehabilitation services are also provided.Meserve Engineering has undertaken structural evaluations of many older commercial buildings and provided seismic upgrade and hazard mitigation recommendations. The firm has successfully designed earthquake resisting systems for under-reinforced concrete structures as well as unreinforced masonry buildings -including stone, brick, hollow clay tile and hollow concrete block systems.Ed Meserve has more than thirty years of experience in structural design and analysis, covering a broad spectrum of engineering projects and many one-of-a-kind structures. His experience includes design and analysis, scheduling, and directing resources towards the timely completion of projects both large and small.
