Atwater Park Center has been providing programs for special needs children for more than 35 years. It works in association with the State Department of Developmental Services, City of Los Angeles and the Lanterman Regional Center. It offers center-based services that include therapeutic activities designed by professionals from an array of therepeutic and educational fields. The center has a child development staff that provides in-home activities to stimulate infant development. In addition, it offers case management, as well as group and educational support services to help families meet their basic needs. Atwater Park Center, established in 1968, is located in Los Angeles.
