We rented life jackets for our 2 and 5 year old kids from them. They also went above and beyond to help us inflate our kayak which we forgot the pump for. Very friendly and helpful.

There are several "free" places to snowshoe in the Bear Valley area (mostly by pulling off the road at designated spots; some require a small fee). We chose the "pay" option by going to BVAC...

It was a toss up between BV or Leland's...after reading the reviews for Leland's, I opted for BV. It was my kids first time in the snow and I didn't want them to have a horrible crowded first...
